The IRF is not in a position to travel all over the world to ensure that the information given by applicants is true.
If you are considering finding a Reiki teacher who dispalys our logo, do as you would do when looking for someone in
any walk of life, to provide you with a service. USE YOUR COMMON SENSE! If you don't like the person instinctively,
or feel that they are claiming Reiki training that they do not have, if they act inappropriately, or become abusive in any
way. Do NOT ask them to teach you Reiki! If you are unhappy with the fees, or have already taken their training
and feel you have been overcharged for poor teachings, then take it up with that person - and let others know that you
don't think they are suitable to teach in your area.
In order to try to provide a free service to those whose aim it is to spread Reiki freely throughout the world, unfortunately
we, like any other organisation, can be prey to the shady side and practitioners who have a hidden agenda. All
we can do is to tell you to use your intuition, your common sense, and walk fast if you don't feel comfortable. Most
Reiki practitioners are perfectly fine. Reiki like anything else has it's bad apples - you need to watch out for
these and avoid them for your own safety.
If in doubt.... don't sign up for a class.
You CAN learn Reiki perfectly well from books, the internet, and by having a distant attunement. You don't
have to be forced to go to someone you do not trust just because they are the only teachers in your area. There are
other ways.
